París (10th arrondissement), Francia.
Salem Mostefaoui
This flat is typical Parisian Haussman with its mouldings, fish bone parquet and long linear balcony. The overall concept was to create a contemporary architecture, a light element that would preserve all the existing historical elements that give the place a strong character, while revealing new uses and a new appreciation of space, appropriate to its 21st century inhabitants. That was the challenge. The answer to that is a ribbon of wood that runs through the moulded load-bearing walls.
The flat features a vanity unit and washbasin from the Forma collection designed by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba, and a mirror from the Origin collection.
