The Signiel Residence renovation project, located on the upper floors of Lotte World Tower in Seoul, combines the vision of the client and designer Kim Sang-yoon, bringing together contemporary architecture, Korean tradition, and the emotional atmosphere of the city.

The design draws inspiration from the hanok, incorporating natural materials such as wood and connecting the interior to the urban landscape through ever-changing views. The interior space, particularly the living room conceived as a courtyard, conveys a sense of calm through subtle lighting and an open layout that encourages flow and visual continuity.

Elements such as wooden ceilings combined with Korean paper, sliding doors, and handcrafted materials create a rich and balanced sensory experience. Traditional furniture and textile details enhance the warmth and depth of the overall design.

In addition, the project features an Origin bathtub by Inbani, which integrates harmoniously into the space, contributing a contemporary piece that dialogues with the overall aesthetic and materials.

Ultimately, the project merges tradition and modernity to express a unique Korean identity, proposing a serene luxury lifestyle where cultural heritage, craftsmanship, and contemporary living coexist with quiet dignity.
