Projecto Edgar-Quinet

With the concept “Cocoon over the city”, the restructuring and layout of a 100 m2 flat in the Montparnasse district of Paris was realised. The design studio Olivier Debin Studio was in charge of the design, site monitoring, furniture and equipment selection, as well as the customised furniture design.

The aim of this project was to create transparency and fluidity in the spaces: allow light to pass through the apartment, direct the eyes towards the urban view and open up the living room as much as posible

The aim was to create softness and serenity atmospheres. This required a limited palette of colors, favor horizontal lines in the furniture and relatively low seats, as well as modulate the lighting with precisión

The sensitivity in the selection of quality and aesthetic materials was a priority in order to create both visual and sensory harmony. For this purpose travertine, flute glass, oak and bronze were selected, which correspond to each other.
